Disney, Pre-Chrimbal, and a Random Memory

So I am so excited about this weekend. Derek and I are hoisting up to Disneyland for the Gay Days. On Friday Derek and I are having dinner with Wes, Christian, Brian, and Frank. We sent invites to a couple other folks and hopefully they will show. If not, it's ok. We will have a great time regardless.

April and Doug are graciously watching the house for us and taking care of Maggie. She really is a great friend. We are in the beginning stages of planning Chrimbal festivities. We already decided breakfast for dinner would be the food. We are decorating the house in green and gold and bells will be the pattern. Her mom is coming down from Idaho, which I am apprehensive about, but I am sure it will be ok.

Earlier this month I cut my hair. Prior to the hair cut, I always kept my hair up. Now that I am wearing it down, I can smell my conditioner. It reminded me of a guy that I used to adore. He liked to sit behind me at this picnic table in the courtyard of his apartments and write things on my back. I asked him why he did that once and he said he liked the way my hair smelled. That is one of the times in my life I felt content. That memory makes me happy.

Sorry Ricky, Birthdays, and Viva Las Vegas!

Pictures a go-go! So it has been so busy, but so fabulous! I will start from the beginning and hopefully make it short and sweet.
So the the 21st, Brian, Frank, & Christian from the TWSS podcast, Ricky from Foul Monkeys, and Miss Wes from Live it up came to Case de Nessa & Derek for dinner and drinks. I think Ricky and I were the only ones who drank to the point of drunkenness, hence the picture of us above. We played rockband, watched TV, recorded a show, and hung out. Can I just say that I love those boys. All of them are as sweet as can be and I am so lucky to have met them all and maintained a friendship. It was probably the most fun I have had in forever. And as silly as it sounds, I miss them. Bwa bwa sorry ME!
Ok, Derek and I left for Vegas the following Tuesday and spent my birthday there. It also coincided with the in-laws being in Vegas. We stayed in the Venetian and OMG! it was gorgeous. I am lame and didn't take hardly any pictures, but my father in law did. When he sends me copies, I will put some up here. I had a great time! I didn't even gamble that much. There was so much to do otherwise. Derek's 2nd cousin Janice lives in Vegas and she and her husband Bob drove us through Red Rock Canyon and it was so pretty. Vegas gets 5 stars for sure. However, the next time I go, I am going during Fall or Winter. I hate the heat.
Also, Over on the facebook, I got so many happy birthday wishes. I felt loved, so thank you all who did that. :)
So, i hate to beg, but I want to make sure I help my friend Izola as much as I can. She is raising money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Her fundraising page is up and she is accepting donations. Her goal is $6,500 and she is 25% there! You can read all about what she is running for by clicking the picture below! THANK YOU!!

Song of the Day 12/20/08

Mele Kalikimaka, by Bing Crosby and The Andrew Sisters

I had a great day today. Last night Christian came down and we had some drinks, some laughs, and a lot of PNS talk. Then today, Miss Wes came and we baked cookies, chatted a bit, and laughed a ton! I am so thankful that Ricky introduced us because Christian is awesome and I can't say enough good things about Miss Wes. Thanks boys for a fun day!

Catch up and Song of the Day 10/24/08

So I am finally getting back into the swing of things after vacation. i need another vacation for reals.

So, I don't think I ever talked about my pal Erin on here. Erin is a lady I work with who up until the 14th of this month was technically a man. So she is now officially a lady and is so happy. She came into work to pick up her check and she looks amazing. Everytime I would see her before, she always looked beat down and tired. This Erin was so bright eyed and excited, I am so happy for her and I wish her the very best. And she has agreed to indulge me in my curiousity and said I could ask her anything I wanted. Now I can't think of anything to ask because, well, I guess it doesn't matter. She is who she is and I'm glad she's my friend because she is amazingly sweet. We all need good people in our lives and I hope Erin is apart of it for a long time.

I am very excited for New Years to roll around because Ricky is going to be in the Californias and I will get to see him and Christian again! Hurrah! So I have no idea what were going to do, but they will be ringing in 2009 with me! Thats right bitches, be jealous! hehehe! Ohh! Christian maybe we can make that video *wink*

And thanks to PNS Explosion, Ricky, and Taylor I can't stop thinking about this song! So consider this your song of the day!

Something Random and pretty neat

Ok, I need to make this fast because I should have been in the shower 10 minutes ago.

I got a message on the facebooks from a girl I know named Rebecca. I met Rebecca in the Nirvana chatroom in like 1999 or 2000, a long time ago. We would randomly talk now and then through the years because of "Rabbit Rabbit on the first."

So anyways, the message was like Nessa, you do WMBYS?! I noticed you were friends with Fun with Puppies and I am friends with a couple of those guys.

Ok so whats weird is I just met Christian from Fun with Puppies on Saturday and he may be a friend of someone I have known through the internet years ago.

weird.

Ok I am going to be late, again.

Curse my internet addiction!

meeting and greeting

So today I met Wes from Live it up and Ricky from Foul Monkeys (and his friend Christian who was so adorable)

Wes came over about noon, and can I just say is so adorable in person. Very cute and very enjoyable to talk to. There weren't weird awkward pauses or anything. But thats probably because I talk too much! I hope him and I can hang out again because he is just a nice guy.

We drove up to Irvine, CA. I only got a little lost because the carpool lane merged into the 405 after our exit. I turned around and called Ricky. Ricky was wearing a shirt that said "That's what she said." I kinda want that shirt. Ricky is very cute and his friend Christian is too! And funny! I haven't laughed so much in awhile! We were walking around, but it was hot. So we went into Barnes and Noble and had Starbucks and shared our love for PNS Explosion. We then walked around the books and made fun of junk and stuff. Ricky made a vidjo in the Chinese section. RACIST!

We went into a chocolate store that smelled so good. Holly, you would so love it! We were going to go back after it wasn't so hot, but ended up in See's chocolate and had a free sample.

For dinner we had PF Changs and we had lettuce wraps and I had the Mongolian beef because I knew Holly loved it, so it had to be good. And it was so good! I only took a few pictures, but here they are :)
