So the dentist...The hygienist asked me as I griped onto the sides of the chair so hard my hands were white...Do you want to try this without the gas?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! I looked at her and she said oh, it looks like you're in trouble already. Derek warned me that she would try to get out of using it. I don't think so! Otherwise, the cleaning went pretty fast and i don't have to go back for 6 months. Derek is so mad because he has to go back every three. I told him if he flossed and stopped drinking so much coffee, it might be six. He refuses to floss. bleck!
Today was kind of a hard day. I had a mini breakdown when I got home, but I feel tons better after I had a good cry and talked about it with Derek. Now I am going to listen to music and relax with my dog who is hitting me with her paw for attention right now.

I won't walk into a dentist office if they don't have nitrous oxide. I always ask for it, I pay extra for it.. then they act so burdened if they have to haul the tank out. Sheesh. I'm paying for it for cryin out loud.

Congrats on making it through the cleaning. We're allowed mental breakdowns, some more often than others (like me).
Honey - the break down might be a side effect of the gas. I hate going to the dentist too - although mine is quite nice and is always joking. Did I mention that there is no gas at all here? No Mam, you have to get through without. Only local anestesia if you ask kindly for it :)

Glad to hear the dentist trip went okay. Chip went on Monday for his root canal and they knocked him out so good that it was almost 2 days before he was back to "normal".
I've never had to be knocked out for a dentist trip... I'd like to be--must remember to ask for that next time =)
